The Nice Travel Diary

After giving you all a sneak peek of the blue heaven that is the French Riviera in my last post, I thought I'd share some snaps from my holiday in Nice a few weeks ago. I've split it up into a couple of posts, so I won't bombard you with a billion shots at once. Here are just a few I took on the beachfront and along the promenade.

Around July was the perfect time to go, as it was super hot, yet we also had a pleasant breeze coming from the coast. My family and I treated ourself to a stay at the Boscolo Exedra, which is located just a few blocks from the sea. This meant we could explore the old town (see Le Vieux Nice) as well as take a trip to the fancy shops on the way to the beach. The hotel was amazing - although I somehow didn't take any pictures -  everything was really bright and the place had a white rose theme throughout which I loved. We also had a private beach, which meant we were able to relax under the shade of an umbrella and so it felt a lot more comfortable and less crowded.

There is no denying that Nice is beautiful. We had blue skies nearly every single day -- the pictures above speak for themselves! Whether you're staying at a fancy hotel or backpacking, it is definitely one to add to the list. J'adoooree!!
