• The Spring Trends •

I'm not really one to keep up with the trends too much - there are always so many new launches and styles coming and going that it can be hard to keep track. But it's always nice to know what's "in".

The Makeup

One thing for sure is bright colours, fluorescent and bright. A bright fuchsia lip or a neon orange nail is all the trend for Spring '14.  When it comes to lips, glossy is the way to go. If you're not a fan of a gloss, a liquid lipstick or a chubby stick is a great option. Since the Revlon Matte Balms and the Revlon Laquer Balms recently hit our stores, everyone's gone uber crazy for them, so i'd recommend you grab some. Some other chubby sticks from the drugstore are the Bourjois Colour Boosts and the Rimmel Color Rush Balms, which are also lovely for spring.

Pastel colours are always a big trend in the spring time too, and this spring is no exception. Despite mentioning the bright coloured trends, pastel shades are at their most accepted stage in this season, and I feel pastel nails and bright lips are the perfect two for this spring.

The Fashion

Clothing wise, Florals and Denim are the trends on the catwalk this spring, and i've already seen Topshop, H&M and Forever 21 with loads of them in their stores. Simplicity as well as layering ... If you are not a big fan of floral patterns, then any prints are great. High end brands like Céline and Prada have wacky prints in this season, and Topshop has already upped their game by adding these to their collection too (head over to their tumblr for inspiration!).

As for bags, you may as well ditch your big totes and opt for a simple clutch or other form of mini-bag, as they aren't just stylish, but really handy as well. I've had my eye on the Whistles Clutch for a while now and Samantha mentioned a brilliant dupe from Forever 21 which I will have to keep a look out for.
