• Spring Polish Picks •

Spring is the time to throw all your dark berries and plums into the back of your drawers again, because pastels and brights are back - and they're here to stay. So i thought i'd mention few of my favourites that i will be sporting this season.

For a gorgeous cool toned baby blue shade, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 'Breezy Blue' is the perfect way to go. Although this formula does take a couple of coats to be fully opaque, this will not budge or chip for at least 3 days, and that's without a top coat!

Another shade from Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear is in Mint Sorbet, which is as you'd expect, a mint shade. I'm not big on green polish, but i think anyone can pull off a mint, especially in the spring time.

For a bit of a brighter pick is Bourjois 1 Second Gel Polish in Melon, which is a really pretty orangey coral shade that would look perfect with a tan in summer, and a perfect toe shade! The brush on this is so huge, and one brush stroke across the nail is enough, as it becomes fully opaque in one shade too.

If you're feeling a little bit different, why not opt for a yellow? And this shade is definitely worth getting your nails stained, i must admit. Models Own Banana Split is a gorgeous pastel yellow shade, and as it's part of their scented collection, it smells just like banana. It gives a slight yellow tinge to your nails afterwards, but if you wear a base coat you'll be fine.

Lastly is another Models Own polish in the shade Strawberry Tart, a lovely baby pink shade, which smells like strawberries. If you aren't keen on scented polishes, don't worry - it's hardly noticeable. This is a really gorgeous shade that is kind of halfway to be a pastel shade, but at the same time isn't. Still a lovely colour that will probably suit everyone.

What are your favourite spring polishes?
